Earn your Private, Instrument, Commercial, Certified Flight Instructor, Certified Flight Instructor Instrument and Airline Transport Pilot Certificates with Independence Helicopters.  We utilize Robinson R22 Beta II and Robinson R44 Raven II helicopters for training.  We take pride in our high maintenance standards that exceed FAA requirements.  Our highly experienced Certified Flight Instructors have over 1,000 hours of helicopter flight time and years of aviation teaching experience.

Independence Helicopters can and will start your career in aviation with our Professional Pilot Program.  We can also help you earn your Associate or Bachelor Degree through Utah Valley University`s Global Aviation Degree Program (read below for more details).

Helicopter Instrument Rating

FAA MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Obtain a third class medical certificate
- Pass an FAA written examination
- Hold at least a Private Pilot Certificate with:
50 hours X-C PIC
40 hours actual/simulated Instrument training
Pass an FAA Practical Test

10 hours dual in R22
30 hours dual in IFR R44
